The Hillcrest neighborhood is located on in West Bloomington off of 98th street just west of Penn Avenue, within the Marsh Lake Community. Hillcrest is an excellent family friendly community featuring great homes, scenic environment, and quiet community. The neighborhood consists of 170 single family homes featuring ranch, rambler, split level, and traditional housing styles with prices ranging from $250,000 to $600,000.

The Hillcrest neighborhood features excellent location within close proximity to some of the top shopping, dining, and recreational amenities in West Bloomington. Several amenities in the area include Marsh Lake Park, Brookside Park, Valley West Shopping Center, and Southtown Shopping Center. Valley West Shopping Center is located a couple miles southwest of Hillcrest, featuring several shopping, dining, and grocery amenities. Some of these amenities include Cub Foods, Caribou Coffee, Chipotle, Walgreens, and more.

Residents of Hillcrest are served by Independent School District 271, also known as Bloomington Public Schools. Bloomington Public Schools is one of the top school districts in the Twin Cities earing state and national recognitions. One of the closest schools to Hillcrest is Hillcrest Elementary School. Hillcrest Elementary is an excellent school serving 416 students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Other schools in the area include Olsen Elementary and Middle School, Thomas Jefferson High School, and Normandale Community College.
